The entire William States Lee College of Engineering community is invited to watch our first State of the College Address, presented by Dean Robert Keynton, in order to learn more about our current academics, research, and vision for the future. In addition, special guests Dr. Jerry Dahlberg and students from the 49er Rocketry Team discuss the College's veterans initiatives and achievements at the annual NASA Student Launch Competitions.

"Hidden Curvature and the Swimming of Tiny Things"

Dr. Scott David Kelly, Professor in the Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science department, presented our first 'Beer with an Engineer' event entitled “Hidden Curvature and the Swimming of Tiny Things” this spring. Dr. Kelly discusses the problem of designing efficient swimming strokes for autonomous robots in fluids, and the way in which a geometric point of view can make this intuitive and easy.
