Legislators See How Charlotte is Powering the Future

UNC Charlotte thanked local legislators for their support during a Charlotte Regional Legislative Caucus meeting this week, held on UNC Charlotte’s campus. Their time on campus included a tour of BATT CAVE, introducing the legislators to the emerging research area of battery optimization and its application in electric vehicles (EV). 

Several research projects were demonstrated to the visitors by both faculty and students, including innovative rail technology, underwater robotics, battery optimization testing and autonomous vehicles.
