Dalton and Dutterer’s innovative engineering solves research problem

William State Lee’s College of Engineering’s Joe Dalton, lab manager, and Brian Dutterer, technology applications manager, collaborated to develop and build a customized climate-controlled, sealed-environment microscope chamber the size of a tissue box. This chamber allows Sarah Stellwagen, assistant professor in the Department of Biological Sciences within UNC Charlotte’s College of Science, to transport microscopic spiders from the field to the lab and vice versa.
