Engineering faculty receive NCInnovation Pipeline Development Grants

Three faculty members from the William States Lee College of Engineering are among UNC Charlotte’s inaugural cohort of NCInnovation Pipeline Development Grant recipients, receiving support to advance their research toward real-world commercialization.

Jaime Berez and Erina Joyee, both of mechanical engineering and engineering science, are advancing innovations in Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D printing and metal additive manufacturing, while Shen-En Chen of civil and environmental engineering is developing multi-functional concrete that enables wireless power transfer for electric vehicles and battery trains.
