The William States Lee College of Engineering held its spring semester Senior Design Expo on May 4, 2017. Fifty-six teams presented their completed two-semester projects, and 26 teams presented their first-semester design-concept posters. A photo gallery of the Expo is here.

The completed project judged to be the best was “Design and Fabrication of a Wide Field of View Freeform Imaging System,” by Mechanical Engineering seniors Isaac Barron and Nicholas Horvath, which was mentored by Dr. Matt Davies and Dr. Joseph Owen. The goal of the project was to create an optomechanical design to constrain a three-mirror anastigmat off-axis in-plane freeform optical design telescope.
