Albert School of Construction Founding Director Lingguang Song

A nationally recognized scholar in construction engineering and management, Founding Director Lingguang Song focuses on advancing construction project delivery through data-driven methods, simulation and emerging technologies, resulting in real-world applications and impact.  He joined UNC Charlotte in the summer of 2023 as professor in and chair of the Department of Engineering Technology and Construction Management. He brought extensive construction experience from both academic and industry organizations, including leadership roles at the University of Houston and professional experience with a global engineering, procurement and construction firm.
