News Systems Engineering Graduate Certificate Programs
Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (SEEM) is offering new graduate certificate programs with flexible delivery options in the areas of Energy Analytics, Lean Six Sigma, Logistics and Supply Chains, and Systems Analytics.
“We created these programs to meet the need for engineers and other professionals to increase their knowledge in what have become important skill sets for modern workers to possess,” said Dr. Ertunga Ozelkan, interim chairman of SEEM. “These topics in analytics and process improvement areas are an excellent next-step for engineers wanting to further their careers.”
The new graduate certificate programs will begin in summer 2014. Each program will require the completion of four graduate level courses (12 credit hours).
“A wonderful aspect of the programs is that each graduate certificate may act as a standalone graduate option for post-baccalaureate and post-masters students, or may be pursued concurrently with a related graduate degree program at UNC Charlotte,” said Dr. Tao Hong, SEEM graduate program director. “For engineers, the 12 credit hours from the certificate can be applied to the Master of Science in Engineering Management program with the approval of the program director.”
Highlights of the Graduate Certificate programs include:
- Start times in the fall, spring or summer
- Evening on-campus classes
- Online classes for local and international students
- Top ranked by U.S. News and World Report
- No GRE/GMAT requirement
- Completion possible within 12 months
