NSF Graduate Fellowships
Rebecca Sawyer, who graduated in May 2010, will be using the fellowship grant to study electrical engineering at Stanford University.
Richard Blackmon, who graduated in May 2009, is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Optical Science and Engineering at UNC Charlotte.
The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines. Since the program began in 1952, more than 35,000 fellows have been selected. The grant includes $30,000 for living expenses, $10,500 for education and $1,000 for travel.
