Photo Gallery – 49er Engineers Take Over Discovery Place
More than 80 students representing 10 organizations from The William States Lee College of Engineering took over Discovery Place science museum on February 23rd to teach visiting children and their parents about engineering and other STEM disciplines.
As part of Engineers Week 2019, the Lee College of Engineering students designed and built hands-on activities for the almost 3,500 Discovery Place patrons to take part in. The UNC Charlotte groups involved included ASCE, AWWA, IEEE, SWE, Charlotte Area Robotics, UNC Rocketry Club, Theta Tau, Tau Beta Pi, Chi Epsilon and the ETCM Department.
