MISSION
The mission of the Alumni Council is to work together to support the vision and goals of The William States Lee College of Engineering, strengthen the sense of community between alumni and current students, and help raise the visibility of the College in the Charlotte region and beyond.

To be the foundation of the College of Engineering’s alumni community by promoting engagement and development of alumni and students to be active, lifelong members.

UNC CHARLOTTE ALUMNI BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The UNC Charlotte Alumni Association Board of Directors is comprised of alumni from all University schools. The purpose of the board is to keep apprised of and be advised on the programs and services offered by the University’s Office of Alumni Affairs. The 30 members of the Board of Directors meet on a quarterly basis and are integral to the success of the Alumni Association and UNC Charlotte.
Recruitment for the Alumni Board of Directors takes place each spring. Members are either nominated by other alumni or appointed by their individual graduate or professional schools. Each member serves a three-year term beginning on July 1. At the end of the three years, members can be elected to additional terms or offices. UNIVERSITY AFFINITY GROUPS
Black Alumni Chapter
The Black Alumni Chapter (BAC) supports participation in University life and to promote the education of current black students and enhance black alumni participation through networking, communication, and program development. Since 2011, BAC has honored the achievements of alumni through the Excellence in Leadership Program. To join the BAC Board of Directors and represent your fellow College of Engineering alumni, you can submit an online application form. Young Alumni Chapter
The Young Alumni Chapter (YAC) encourages active participation in the life of UNC Charlotte, with primary emphasis on graduates within the last 10 years and current UNC Charlotte seniors. In 2018, YAC launched the 10 Under Ten Awards to recognize the achievements of recent graduates. To join the Board, you can submit an online application form. Legacy Alumni Network
The UNC Charlotte Legacy Program recognizes families for making a 49er education part of their family tradition. The program is offered to encourage the 49er spirit in students who are children and/or grandchildren of UNC Charlotte graduates. Learn more on the Legacy Alumni Network website.
Bank of America Alumni Network
The Bank of America Alumni Network looks to connect the more than 1,000 UNC Charlotte alumni who are integral members of one of Charlotte's most important companies.
