Mini Carolinas Conference

The Mini Carolinas Conference, or MC^2, is Charlotte Engineering’s take on the Carolinas Conference (college-level engineering competition). Our College of Engineering faculty and students open their doors to high school students for a full day of hands-on engineering. Plan to attend not only for existing competitions, but also to tour our labs and to meet our current engineering students.

The competition day typically lasts from 8:15 a.m. to 1:25 p.m. and includes a pizza lunch for all students and teachers. Spaces are limited, so register your class and provide your student list as soon as possible, first come, first served.

Photos and videos of your students may be captured during the MC^2 event and used by the University in public communications. You agree that all students may be photographed unless prior arrangements are made with Kelly Anderson at kellyanderson@charlotte.edu at least three weeks before the event.

2024

On October 18, 2024 the William States Lee College of Engineering at the University of North Carolina will host our annual Mini Carolina’s Competition. A spin on the American Society of Civil Engineering’s regional competition, the “Carolina’s Conference”, the Mini Carolina’s Conference invites high schools classes in to compete in 5 activities across a variety of engineering disciplines. The annual event includes a kickoff meeting,  a tour of our facilities, competitions, and free pizza lunch.
