Admission

Math Placement
Math placement levels determine course eligibility and may be different for each major. Use the Process for Placement in the first Mathematics Course tool to help determine a student’s math placement.

Students may need to complete lower level math course(s) in order to become eligible for the required starting math course

Does your student want to begin college in a higher math course?

  • Advise them to take the Math Placement Test or
  • Enroll in and complete the lower level math course during the summer prior to their first year. Students admitted to Fall may opt into the Summer term if they choose. Students can change their entry term to Summer in the Admitted Student Portal.
